Between Q2 2023 and Q1 2024, Vertiv designed, manufactured, and shipped 1,200 NEBS Level 3 outdoor cabinets for a Tier-1 carrier's 5G densification program spanning 6 states in the southeastern United States. The project required cabinets in three form factors — ground-mount (60%), wall-mount (25%), and pole-mount (15%) — each pre-integrated with 48V DC power distribution, active thermal management rated for 3,500W heat load, and seismic Zone 4 bracing.
Field installation time dropped from an average of 6.5 hours to 3.9 hours per site (40% reduction) due to pre-wired power connections and factory-terminated fiber jumpers. The 12-month post-deployment failure rate across all 1,200 units was 0.017%, with two units requiring seal gasket replacement after hurricane-force wind events.
A North American cloud services provider contracted Vertiv in mid-2022 to supply and install 800 high-density server racks across two data center halls totaling 4,600 square meters. The deployment was phased over 18 months to align with the provider's compute capacity expansion schedule, with initial occupancy of 200 racks in Hall A followed by three subsequent phases.
Each custom 48U rack (1200mm depth, 800kg static load rating) included factory-integrated vertical cable managers, overhead fiber tray brackets, and busway tap-off provisions. The standardized mounting interface reduced per-rack installation time to 45 minutes versus the industry average of 90-120 minutes for comparable configurations. Total fiber core count exceeded 12,000 per row using structured MPO-to-LC cassette distribution.
The infrastructure engineering team is ready to assess your requirements and provide a detailed proposal with 3D CAD files, thermal calculations, and compliance documentation. Typical response time: one business day.
